For a brand new condominium complex with a bold attitude, seasoned developer Sansiri looked once again to world-class architecture and interior design firm dwp. Sansiri were looking for a unique structure to make a statement in the heart of Bangkok's popular Sukhumvit area.
Representing a superior lifestyle, dwp created the full scope for a contemporary urban living experience that would stand the test of time. The complex includes 34 floors, with 178 residential units, lobby and reception, multi-level parking, a pool, sun terrace, and a fitness centre, with common facilities, such as steam rooms.
XXXIX by Sansiri is located in the heart of Phrom Phong (Bangkok) and just around the corner from the luxurious Emporium Shopping Centre and Benjasiri Park. dwp was tasked with creating a luxurious condominium that stands-out from the surrounding mid-level residential developments. Given the city centre location, the building needed to be compact, functional and suited to luxury living. dwp designed clean lines, with a classic symmetrical axis and a highly aesthetic appeal, with good ventilation and natural light usage throughout. The designers wished to ensure a fluid connectivity between internal and external space. dwp was furthermore engaged to provide a full scope of interior design services.
The primary consideration at street level was to create a sophisticated entrance and street presence, while concealing the above ground car parking. The integration of the landscape design creates a wonderful sense of arrival for residents and visitors alike, with the car parking cleverly concealed behind a beautiful stone façade and distinctive decorative grills.
The resident's facilities floor has been designed as one large water feature, integrating a large swimming pool, sunken daybeds, hot & cold jacuzzi in addition to a spacious fitness centre and double-height library. The residential tower has been designed to accentuate the height of the building, with the colour of spandrel panels matched to create triple-height volumes and continuous decorative grills concealing air conditioning units. The overall architectural styling has been based upon a contemporary Milano style inspired by the timeless proportioning of luxurious Italian fashion brands. This is extended to the lobby lounge and outstanding resident's facilities on the Ground Floor, including the mail room, powder room and the resident's porte cochere. This unparallel styling will raise the bar for high-end luxurious condominiums in Bangkok.
